Chemistry 523

Oh man, please tell me, if you have a full time job, small children and a blog, where do you find time for all of it?  Of course the only thing out of those three that can be neglected is the blog. Not that I have neglected my blog (not yet anyway), but I can feel my blog mojo (can I call that my blojo?) fading a little at the moment.

Ok, enough whinging from me and onto the polish.  Today it's another Chemistry polish, #523.  This one was sourced from another awesome blogger friend with access to the Essential Beauty warehouse. Shatter me Claire scored this one for me.  I first saw it on her blog and pretty much begged her to get it for me, which she so very kindly did *blows kiss*.

Chemistry #523 is in the 500 series, which means it fits in with all the other Ozotic/Chemistry multichromes, but again, just like the last polish, I don't think there has ever been an Ozotic version.

It's a bronze multichrome that shifts from light gold through to almost a chocolate brown.  The shift isn't strong, but it gives the polish dimension and that little something different.  This was two coats over black

Above photo taken indoors, below in the sun.

Here you can see the darker brown colour shift.  It actually really feels like an Autumn shade.  Which of course it's spring here at the moment, but I can really see me wearing this a lot come the end of summer!

So that's the last one of my Chemistry/Ozotics/Artform polishes to add to the colour guide.  Actually no that is not quite true as I have the other 601 to post about too.

Chemistry 618

Today I have another Chemistry polish, number 618, which is a light green large particle scattered holo.

The absolutely awesome Kristy, who has the most perfect nails on show over at The Polish Haven, recently grabbed this Chemistry polish for me.  I wanted to try and fill in any gaps I had in my Ozotic/Chemistry colour guide, and she kindly went searching the Chemistry warehouse and found this.

This polish is pretty much the scattered holo version of 517, which is the light green linear holo. A lot of these polishes in the 600 series have matching colour twins in the 500 series, which is pretty nice if you like to mix up the finish on your nails.

The holo effect isn't as pronounced on this polish.  It really reminds me more of the Milani 3D polishes.  In fact I think I should do so comparisons with the Milani 3D polishes against these Ozotic/Chemistry 600 series.

I haven't seen an Ozotic equivalent of this polish, and from what Kristy tells me, the warehouse that sells these is pretty much empty, and they don't even know if or when they will be getting any more *sad face*.  I love these chemistry polishes, their bottles stack really nicely and they have the longest wand.  I really hope they do restock in the Chemistry name, rather than just stocking the Ozotics like Artform Nails are doing (apparently some day they will be available on their site anyway!)

Chemistry 510

Now I have posted my powder update, I can do a 'real' post.

Here is Chemistry 510.  I haven't see an Ozotic version yet, maybe one will come out with the release of the new bottles that piCture pOlish wrote to subscribers about (if wondering what I'm talking about, scroll to the bottom to see a pic).

Chemistry 510 is a browner toned pink (yep another pink holo).  The easiest way to see how it compares to the other pink holos, is to check my Ozotic/Chemistry colour guide.  I really love this shade.  It has heaps of holo goodness and it's a great pink if your not in a really 'lolly pink' mood.

Here is my favourite photo angle for holo polishes.  Focused on the second nail, the others go out of focus, so you get to see blury sparkles and what it usually looks like, all in one shot.

Now the zoomed in shot. Zoom, zoom a zooma zoom zoom. (can you tell I have a three year old?) The beginning goes "up in the air I fly...."

Indoors, you can still see the subtle holo effect.

As mentioned above, here are the new Ozotic bottles - I love them, just imagine how well they will stack!! Photo from piCture pOlish. The new bottles are 15ml (instead of 16ml) and now cost $14 ($1 saving).  But they are also having issues shipping internationally at the moment, so if you need details I suggest you contact them.

Chemistry 514

Chemistry 514 would have to be one of my very favourite holographic polishes.  It's a very cool toned platinum gold fine particle linear holo.  It's almost silver, but there is enough yellow tones in it to be able to see the difference.

Unfortunately I haven't seen an Ozotic version of this yet, which is a shame, cause that makes it near impossible for people overseas to get it.  Not that Essential Distribution have this in stock at the moment either, an email from them on Friday said they only had in 512 stock right now.

This one did take a bit longer to dry than the other holos, so it's lucky that the holo effect isn't dulled by a fast dry top coat.  The holo effect in this doesn't look quite as in your face as some of the other Chemistry/Ozotic holos, but it is still amazing.

Oooh, ooooh , ooohh, I just noticed I have 1000 followers today.  That's really cool.  Thank you so much everyone for coming by and following my blog.  I do have three piCture pOlish shades to give away, so I'm planning on combining the giveaway for 1000 followers with a giveaway that will show case of all my followers (soon to be created) frankenpolishes made with either spectraflair or the colour morphing powders.  So once the powders arrive, and have been shipped, I'll give you a few weeks to create something and will then hold a giveaway. Please stay tuned for that!

Chemistry 517

Today I'm showing you Chemistry 517.  Recently piCture pOlish got 517 in stock in the Ozotic range, but as I had this version, I didn't need the other.  This is supposedly the green holo, but it is such a pastel green that it is almost a silver holo.  I have previously posted about Artform 517 too, which again is another dupe - although no longer name under that name.  I believe Glitter Gal Holographic Green is a dupe too.

While the green in this is a little disappointing, the holo certainly isn't.  It's super holoy goodness at it's best this one! It's very sheer too, so you could use this as a holo top coat over other polishes.

Indoors below you can see that even with three coats there was still VNL.

I gave my nails a file down this morning. The left hand that is, the
right hand is still nubbin city.  I finally feel like I have found the right length for my nails.  It's funny, I look back at some of my
earlier blog posts and look at the length of my nails and think they are
ridiculously long.  So now my nails are a mm or two shorter than they
are in these pics.

Chemistry 519

Back when I placed my one and only Chemistry order (after Stef first showed us Chemistry 507), I ordered Chemistry 519.  This was another polish that I ordered totally sight unseen. I just picked the number cause I knew I didn't have it and hoped for the best.  I was rather surprised then it arrived, because it appeared to be an exact dupe of 507!

These photos are taken on day two, and there is a bit of tip wear, but generally these Chemistry polishes (like Ozoitc) wear really well and they certainly don't chip.

In a effort to make this look different from Chemistry 507, I just applied this on it's own, without the usual black base.  This is three coats with one Seche Vite top coat.  I actually really love it on it's own.

I've given this polish to my Mum, and she has done some beautiful layering with it. I'm totally going to steal her ideas and post my mani pics here. Thanks again Mum.

Hey girls with a few chemistry polishes (I'm looking at you Claire, Stef and Kristy) do any of you own both 507 and 519?  Do yours look identical too, or did I just get a bottle that was incorrectly labeled with the wrong number sticker?

Chemistry 525

Have you ever bought a polish totally sight unseen?  I did with this polish.  I purely bought it cause it's number was in the 500 series, which meant it should be another linear holographic in the whole Ozotic/Chemistry range.  I had no idea what colour it was, I just picked the number and went with it.  Actually I did this with a few of my Chemistry polishes because the colour chart was terrible.

Chemistry 525 is a very pale frosty pink with some holographic particles.  Eeeeewwwh, I hear some of you say, I hate frosty polishes, there so 1980's.  You know what?  I actually don't hate this like I thought I would when I saw the bottle.  It's so pale, it's almost white and it has a nice pearlesent appearance, particularly indoors.

Here I managed to capture the very sparse holo particles.  See they are there!

What this polish looks like most of the time.

Sure, this polish is a bit of a let down, especially when compared to the other holographics, but it's still nice, and I think it's much nicer that 527 which I will show you very soon.

Chemistry 512

I have my first Chemistry polish for you today.  Just in case you didn't already know, Chemistry polishes are exact dupes of Ozotic Pro polishes, but generally around $4 a bottle cheaper.

This is 512, a light blue fine particle linear holo.  It is quite sheer and this was three coats.  It's a much more subtle colour than the darker blue 515 that I showed yesterday.  I have previously swatched Artform 512, which is another dupe.  Check out the old post to see a comparison pic of this next to Nfu Oh 65.

This next photo was taken indoors, with no artificial light and only diffused light coming in the window.  It looks a tad green in this picture, although in real life it's not green at all.

Finally, did anyone notice that I have added a picture link in the top left of the page to my new Ozotic Colour Guide.  I'll be updating the page as I post new swatches of Chemisty/Ozotic polishes.
