Zoya Nail Polish - Back to School Polish!

Back to School Nail Color by Zoya Nail Polish!

With the end of August comes the inevitable rush to primp and prep for the journey back to school. Back to teachers, here come the books, out the classroom window, longing looks. Fortunately, it’s easy to go back to school in style this year, no matter what the personal style, with Zoya Nail Polish.

The Prepster
For the girl who is never too far from her crisp navy slacks or plaid skirt, white blouse, and signature hair band, there is an equally preppy nail color to be found in Zoya’s Jana, from the new for fall Smoke collection. A rich, creamy, opaque putty mauve, Jana is as cool as Blair’s gaze as she stares down an outsider. Pair the polish with a matching purse and shoes for a preppy uniform that is all chic.

Trendy Girl
The trendy girl is at the height of fashion, from the crown of her silky mane to the soles of her pristine leather studded flats. She is the girl that is going places and making a statement wherever she goes, and for her the perfect nail polish choice is deep, cool inky blue a la Zoya Nail Polish in Cynthia. With just the right amount of teal splashed into an otherwise blackened shade of deep blue, Cynthia is as much an eye catcher as the girl that dares to wear her.

All Natural Girl
For the girl who prefers to let her hair down, who is most comfortable in worn sneakers, soft jeans, and even softer sweaters, there is something beautiful in  a clean nail look, achieved with a simple coat of clear, shiny, Zoya Anchor Base Coat on clean, buffed nails. Fortunately, this is a look that is friendly for natural girls, savvy guys, and those who may not be allowed to wear nail color regularly.

No matter the look, the personality, the individual, there is a Zoya Nail Polish shade to ensure that every student goes back to school in style.

Zoya is the new color of fashion!

How to use: Thoroughly saturate a cotton ball or pad with Zoya Remove+, firmly press pad to nail for a few seconds and wipe until existing polish is completely removed and nail bed is clean. Remove surface oils from clean nails and prepare nails for new color by wiping each nail with Zoya Remove+ (not shown).

Step 2. Zoya Anchor
How to use: Apply one coat to clean, prepped nails. This will form a bond between the nail plate and polish, which will prevent peeling and chipping.

Step 2. Zoya Get Even
How to use:  This is an optional basecoat - If your nails are uneven it will fill the nail surface with a dense fiber-like formula that grips to the nail creating a smooth surface. Apply one coat to clean, prepped nails.

Step 3. Zoya Nail Professional Nail Lacquer
How to use: Apply two coats of Zoya Nail Polish over Zoya Anchor Basecoa t/ Zoya Get Even Ridge Filling Basecoa>

Step 4. Zoya Armor
How to use: Apply one coat over Zoya Nail Polish. This protects nails from yellowing UV rays and keeps your nail color strong. Re-apply every two days for extended color wear.

Step 5. Zoya Hurry Up
How to use: Apply one drop to base of each nail, tilt hand and allow product to spread naturally. Polish will dry in just five minutes. This drys polish faster and increases color vibrancy. To extend your color up to two weeks, apply over Zoya Armor Topcoat every two days.

That's it - for beautiful, long-lasting nail color use the Zoya Color Lock System every time you polish!
...and to bring older polish and treatments back to life try Zoya Renew - Polish Rejuvenator.

Zoya Nail Polish Avatar colors hit Italy

Avatar may have hit the theaters two months ago, but that hasn't stopped the beauty world from continuing to drool over it. Featured in an article on Elle Italy's website are the five blue shades Zoya Nail Polish chose to represent the James Cameron's Best Drama and Best Director Golden Globe winner. The Article mentions all five Avatar inspired shades: Yummy, Ibiza, Indigo, Tart, and Talluah.  To see the original Zoya-Avatar post click here.

Translation from Google Translate: Live from Avatar, style Na'vi this trend even beyond the confines of the planet Pandora. While the film by James Cameron, with its nine nominations, is preparing to buy up to Oscar, in its various shades blue color becomes the protagonist of the manicure of spring. Zoya brand of worship for the Nail-addict, suggests as much as 5 shades allegedly taken from the colossal, ranging from the "greedy" Yummy intense blue Indigo (midnight blue accents glitter). "Stage" forced variation in Ibiza (pure sapphire, which recalls the depths of the sea), not forgetting the metal-Tart and iridescent opalescent Tallulah. Bonus extra: Zoya by the glazes are 100% toxic free, so that they can also be used in pregnancy and are world champions of duration (2 weeks to test chips, proven by the premium Beauty All Star). The most recent record? The first place for best basecoat and topcoat best 2009-2010. Zoya glazes can be found in beauty parlors, spas, and some in the Center Nail Saloons (14 euros).

Zoya Nail Polish- NYFW Fall 2010 recap: Susan Cianciolo

Fashion Designer: Susan Cianciolo
Show Date: Wednesday, 2/17/10- 4:30PM
Location: White Box Gallery
Zoya Nail Polish - Official Nail Care Sponsor of the Susan Cianciolo Fall 2010 Show.

Combining art and fashion in a gallery presentation, Susan Cianciolo's Fall 2010 collection was more of a performance piece than the usual standing model presentation. The show Underneath the, Sea Inside a Mountain used the artistry of clothes, makeup and nail design to transport viewers to a place where they could frolic through the fields with Julie Andrews or if they so pleased, swim the seas with Ariel. Flower Children and Mermaids in an explosion of hand crafted colors and patterns all under the flashes of an artfully placed group of Japanese paparazzi. A performance indeed!

A Parson's classmate of Mark Badgley and James Mischka, Cianciolo is no lesser a designer just a more avant garde talent. Cianciolo's custom made garments can be ordered via her website, susancioniolo.com

Fashion Designer: JSong
Date: Wednesday, 2/10/2010
Location: 499 Seventh Avenue

Product Used: Zoya Remove+, Zoya Anchor Base Coat, Zoya Nail Polish in Suzanne, Zoya Nail Polish in Tasha, Zoya Nail Polish in Jessika, Zoya Nail Polish in Bailey, and  Zoya Armor Top Coat.

Romantic Fantasy is the ideal way to describe JSong’s collection. The motto for their collection was In Nature’s Magical Garden and their clothes definitely represented that. They stuck with the main theme of fashion week this season, layers, but they put their own spin on things. They had layered eyelets the shape of leaves, crochet shawls, and sheer tops with patterns similar to peacock feathers.

Manicurist Jackie Saulsbery prepped each nail with Zoya Remove+ and a basecoat of Anchor. She used Zoya Suzanne, Zoya Tasha, Zoya Jessika, Zoya Bailey and finished with a topcoat of Armor.

Guest included top editors.

Show Date: Tuesday, 2/16/2010-  2PM
Location: Warehouse, 44th Street
Zoya Nail Polish- Official Nail Care Sponsor of the Diesel Black and Gold Fall 2010 Show.

Diesel Black and Gold’s Fall 2010 show screamed confidence. They stuck with the distressed-faded jeans, but this time they added a more gothic/ western vibe to their looks.  This season had a plethora of black denim to choose from and for the more adventurous type leather. All over the board there was black in denim and leather form, flannels, light blue denim pieces, and clean-tailored suits sprinkled in throughout the collection.

Manicurist Amber Stores sprayed the models' hands with Zoya Germinator prior to each manicure. She then prepped each nail with Zoya Anchor basecoat as well as with Zoya Get Even. She then polished each nail with a base of  Zoya Nail Polish in Tasha and then a top layer of Zoya Nail Polish in Erin creating a gorgeous nude nail. After polishing she finished with Zoya Anchor topcoat and Zoya Renew. Lastly, for a nice, sweet touch Zoya Lemon Dream lotion was used on all hands.

Similar to the collection the location was in a grungy location, a warehouse, but that did not stop people from coming to witness Diesel Black and Gold’s Fall 2010 Show. A huge crowd  showed up including,  Carine Rotifeld (French Vogue), Leigh Lezark,  Actress Amber Heard,  Mickey Boardmen and Kim Haistreiter (Paper),  Mark Hunter (thecobrasnake), and Cory Kennedy.

Zoya Nail Polish- NYFW Fall 2010 recap: Bibhu Mohapatra

Fashion Designer: Bibhu Mohapatra
Show Date: Monday, 2/15/2010-12:30 PM
Location: Marianne Boesky Gallery ( W 22nd St)
Zoya Nail Polish- Official Nail Care Sponsor of the Bibhu Mohapatra 2010 Fall Show.
Products Used: Zoya Remove+, Zoya Anchor Base Coat, Zoya Nail Polish in Sasha, Zoya Nail Polish in Blair, and Zoya Armor Top Coat

Bibhu Mohapatra had a major amount of hype surrounding him this year and that is all thanks to the reward he received from the CDFA. Along with 11 other designers, Bibhu’s rent on a new studio will only be $1500-$2000 a month opposed to the original amount of $2900. Having the honor of receiving this reward puts Bibhu in the category of hot new designer which caused an excellent outcome for his new presentation. People were practically bursting at the seams to get into the art gallery that held his 20’s inspired collection. Feminine and fitted pieces created an elegance that any female today would want, making Bibhu’s collection old-fashion as well as modern at the same time.

Manicurist Jackie Saulsbery working with the Zoya Design Team came up with the combination of a full coat of Sasha layered with a thin coat of Blair creating a more sparkly version of Sasha. Each set of nails was prepped using Zoya Remove + and a basecoat of Anchor prior to polishing and finished with a glossy topcoat of Armor.

The crowd did not only contain major fashion editors such as Lauren Santo Domingo ( Vogue) who helped style the collection, but the location of the event helped to bring many viewers from the art scene as well.

Zoya Nail Polish-NYFW Fall 2010 Recap: Leanne Marshall

Fashion Designer: Leanne Marshall
Show Date: Saturday, 2/14/2010 - 4 PM
Location: Union Square Ballroom

Products Used: Zoya Remove+, Zoya Anchor Base CoatZoya Nail Polish in Jo, Zoya Nail Polish in Betty, Zoya MatteVelvet in Harlow, and Zoya Armor Top Coat.

Leanne Marshall the designer has arrived. Moving from typography as inspiration last season to topography (maps) this season the looks shown at the 2010 Fall Leanne Marshall show reflected the designers personality perfectly. Leanne's work has greatly matured since winning Bravo's Project Runway in 2008, now unafraid to be true to her own fragile nature, Marshall created a romantic vision for Fall 2010. The collection was true to her roots - yes, the layers are still there but now they are less structured and everywhere from coats to evening wear.

Manicurist Jackie Saulsbery prepped each set of nails using Zoya Remove + and a basecoat of Anchor prior to polishing and finished with an ultra glossy topcoat of Armor.

Enjoying cupcakes and cocktails we noticed Project Runway contestants Wesley Nault, Jennifer Diederich, Korto Momolu, Jay McCarroll, Ben Chmura, Maya Luz, Suede, and Jonathan Peters, fashion editors and models, including model Summer Rayne Oakes in attendance.
