Moon, Bronze and Flowers

Good Morning,

After stopping at the post office to drop off a package I wasn't quite ready to go home so I stopped into a Walgreen's that I haven't been to for awhile.  I found SH Xtreme Wear Pumpkin Spice.  I then saw a new display of SH Insta-Dri's and picked up the last Bronze Ablaze. It's a bronze shimmer with a hint of green.   In the store it sorta looked like Chanel's Peridot but, as you can see on the nail it's not a dupe.

I for one love all colors but sometimes they might not be the right color for my skintone.  So,  what did I do...added other colors that compliment my skintone.

Next time you see a color or want it go ahead and pick it up and play with it.

The dots are a lovely teal creme by Ruby Kisses (no name on bottle)

I used konad stamp plate M82 with white special polish

The moon is a nude color by OPI Tickle My Francey it's my go to color. To get the moon I used reinforcements

Do you buy colors that doesn't compliment your skintone?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

Smoky Nail: Fall 2011

Smoky Looks for Clothes, Eyes and NAILS!

Fall is not a time, but the time for textures, patterns, and most importantly, rich, super-saturated color. As the temperatures on the thermometer start to fall, so too do the color temperatures and gradients of fall’s color palette drop, too. In short, fall is all about the cool, the sultry, and the deliriously smoky beauty, nail, and fashion looks... The Smoky Nail Polish trend has arrived!

If the scene on the runways this past Fall Fashion Week were any indication, the beauty and fashion republic can expect a resurgence of the intense, the outlandish, and most importantly, the dramatic, gritty, industrialized looks that we all know and love.

Backstage at Bibhu Mohapatra, the look was all Dark Romanticism, with sumptuous fabrics, blacker than black eyes, and a dark yet whimsical textured beehive updo. With this maximum impact beauty look, and racks upon racks of textured, structured, richly hued clothing pieces, it was a smoky nail that adorned model’s digits, finishing the look in a most poetic way. At Bibhu’s show, glam and grit came together, using Zoya Nail Polish’s Kelly, a rich dark gray, on the nails.

A smoky nail is exactly what it sounds like, a nail polish application that utilizes rich, dark, hazy shades to create a nail polish look that is all drama, all the time. Not just for models on the runway, you too can strut your stuff with fall’s hottest look, the smoky nail. Dark, hazy, and even a little bit dangerous, a manicure completed with Zoya’s Nail Polish in Codie, or Petra, Zoya Kelly's moodier sister (from the Smoke and Mirrors Collection Fall 2011) is your hot ticket to the sizzling, smoky nail trend. It’s all about maximum impact and minimal effort, and Zoya Nail Polish surely gets it done.

Armed with the hottest shades, and the hottest nail trend for fall, you too can do your own thing on the (imaginary) catwalk. With Zoya Nail Polish, you’ll be so sexy it hurts*. (*Not really, you will be sexy, it will not hurt.)

Zoya is the new color of fashion!

Sesame Street Nails!

Hi Everyone!
I've got a fun one for you today, some freehanded Sesame Street nails :D Always up for doing something fun and awesome, I painted Oscar the Grouch, Big Bird, The Cookie Monster and Elmo on my fingers!

I used a mixture of Paint Brushes and Nail Art pens, and painted the base colours over white, to really make them "pop"!

My fave is the Cookie Monster, I had fun doing these cartoon ones, hopefully I will do some more soon! Let me know what you think!

LOVE: Nfu Oh 51

I have to agree with Michèle, Nfu Oh 51 can't get too much attention. I need to wear it more often and if you have it: so do you! I could not have the heart to remove the pretty Lady of the Lake from a england (still looking good after almost six days of wear!), so I used it as a base for Nfu Oh 51. The lady doesn't mind, she loves it. :)

I applied one coat of 51 and a top coat. This layering combination is very photogenic, I took a million pictures. It was hard to make a selection for this post, I hope you guys like it!

Look how the flakies glow in sunlight... ♥

Thanks for watching!
