Blue Monday, Soft Butterflies

I have been working out in the garden all week.  Phew! I'm tired.  I'm seeing lots of butterflies flying around my flowers.  They surely put a smile on my face *_______*

Before taking off yesterdays manicure I wanted to see what a stamping design would look like over  crackle.  I decided to add butterflies and I wanted it to look subtle almost barely there.  I used Konad Special Polish, White Pearl along with stamping plate DRK-A (I love this plate)

White Pearl is not as bold as the regular Konad White.  It came out just like I wanted.  You still can see the crackle in the background.  See the silver glitter peaking through!  Those of you that don't care for crackle but love stamp on designs give it a try.

Sorry that's topcoat rimmed around my cuties

Have you stamped on top of your crackle manicures?  Will you give it a try?  Thoughts?

Blue Monday, Milani Blue Flash

Good Morning,

Hurricane Irene decided not to hit Florida Yippee!  Hurricanes are no joke.  All those that were affected I wish you well and hope you and your families are okay *-*

I tried my first Milani one coat glitter yesterday and loved it so much  I decide to put on another today  Blue Flash 523.  I needed 2 coats to cover well.  It's a beautiful silver and blue glitter polish.  It put me in the mind of OPI's Absolutely Alice, but without the gold glitter.  This one too dried to a matte finish.  To mattify it even more I applied one coat of China Glaze Matte Magic.

Warning, Warning.  On the back of the bottle it says if you need to thin out the polish use acetone.  Don't use acetone...thinner is what you need to thin out goopy polish.  Acetone removes polish.  You can purchase Beauty Secrets Thinner at a reasonable price at Sally's.

It's a nice change to wear a flat look.  When was the last time you put on a matte polish?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

Blue Monday, Cult Nails: Let Me Fly

Good Morning,

I hope you had a great weekend!  I stopped into Ulta and picked up three shades of blues from  their brand of nail polish in the discount bin.  Apparently they have changed their packaging.  The bottles are now round.  I'm more fond of square bottles.  Now I have three more Blue Monday's to show you soon.

Today, I have on Cult Nails: Let Me Fly,  a blue based mid-tone teal blue creme with silver and teal shimmer.  When I hold the bottle up to my ott-lite I can also see pink shimmer but it doesn't transfer onto the nail. I like it, it's very flattering.  Love the application it went on very smoothly with two coats.

This brand can be purchased at http://www.cultnails.com/

I'm ready to start wearing some fall colors what about you?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

Blue Monday, St. Barth's Blue/GITA

Blue Monday by Annie Lee

Good Morning,  It was a lovely weekend.  No rain...Yay!  I love the way it looks after a rainstorm everything looks so fresh and clean.

Today, I have on the  palest blue that I own.  Essie's St. Barth's Blue is a slightly shimmery greyish pastel blue.  The formula is on the thin side but it applied very well. I used 3 coats.

St. Barth's Blue

Then I decided to pair it up with Deborah Lippmann's Glitter In The Air which I think goes well together because GITA has the same pale greyish blue tone.  I love the multi colored glitter pieces mixed in.  I only used one coat as you can see the glitter pieces are minimal on the nail just the way I like it.

I am really enjoying wearing this combo and don't want to take it off.

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway

Blue Monday by Annie Lee

Good Morning,

Today, I have on an awesome jelly!  When I purchased it I didn't know it was this squishy goodness.  I buy polishes and don't wear them right away.  Eek!  that tells I have too many. Ha Ha.  Bermuda Breakaway is from the China Glaze Bahama Blues Winter 2008 Collection.  I'm not that bad I didn't buy it in 2008. Lol! Nice formula went on smooth.  Used 2 coats.

Blue Monday, Ocean Breeze with Nailart

Blue Monday by Annie Lee

Good Morning Nail Beautiquers,  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Last night I was trying to decide on what to put on as far as polish.  I roamed around in one of my drawers and pulled out Loreal Ocean Breeze from the LE Passport to Paradise Summer Collection 2010.  It's a lovely deep sky blue.  I thought it was a creme.  It's a jelly!  I get so excited when I get a jelly.  It surely is one of my favorite finish.

3 coats were used

Trying to be alittle creative with some nailart.  These are the goodies I used:

Sunny Yellow,  Silver Glitter, White, Silver, Blue Moon

I hope you enjoyed my Blue Monday

Good Morning,  I had a fabulous weekend and I hope you did too!  Cosmoprof only had 6 colors from the Anchors Away collection.  I had to resort to ordering the rest of them.  Today, I have on First Mate a beautiful blue creme.

Used 2 coats without top coat...super shiny!

I'm in the Ruffian Manicure mood.  Here is 'Hard Candy' Hick with 2 coats.  Found this gem on ebay.
Taken in doors color is accurate

When I tilt the bottle  it shows blue, purple and silver fine shimmer

These pictures were taken outside in the shade
