1. Lush Lemony Flutter
I know this was on my Top Ten Skincare list as well, but it really is the best nail and cuticle moisturiser that I've found. I'm willing to commit to saying it's THE BEST IN THE WORLLLDD. made with fresh lemon infusion to naturally bleach staining out of the nail, shea butter and avacado oil to moisturise and infuse vitamins in to the nail bed, as well as the incredible smelling mango butter, it really does the job fantastically well. I put a little bit of this onto the cuticles at night and fall asleep with my hands in my face for lemony dreams haha. I never suffer from peely cuticles anymore!
2. Magnetized Polish
I'm sure these will run their course like Crackle Topcoats, but for now I am still enamoured with the magnetic polishes from Boots 17, Nails Inc and FashionistA and don't see the novelty wearing off any time soon! The effect is SO quick and easy to achieve and so different - you can have show stopping nail art in no time, without any fiddling about. Great for a night out and to set off any outfit perfectly! What are you waiting for? It's a party essential!
3. Image Plates
I think Nail Plates are a revolutionary invention in terms of Nail Art. They have allowed people without any artistic calling to have fabulous nails at home, that they can do themselves. It's an ingenius solution to Nail Art, and there's so many different patterns out there. Konad and BundleMonster are the best companies I have come across, the possibilities are endless with this Nail Product, which is why it makes my list.
4. Barry M Nail Paints
Barry M is up there with my favourite UK Nail Polish brands (although they do makeup too). Their formula is faultless, their colours are always bang on trend and they have perfect colour selections for a nail artist. They were the first UK Drug Store brand to launch crackle topcoats, boast an impressive Chanel Paradoxal Dupe and I will continue to collect (*cough* hoard *cough*) their Nail Paints! Perfect results every time!
5. American Apparel Nail Paints
If you're a regular reader, you will know how much I love American Apparel polishes, and how astounded I am that such a perfect formula comes from a clothing company. Their colour selection is so fashion inspired, with products so unique that I haven't come across any dupes in the Beauty Sector. They are slightly more expensive than drug store brands at £9.00 each for 15ml, but they do discounts on sets, and the quality is top notch - I think they're fantastic!
6. OPI Nail Envy
It's the best base-coat out there in my book, it strengthens as it goes, and is great at preventing chips!
7. Sally Hansen Nail Polish Remover
You can see this in "My Equipment", a page I set up so you can see what products I use regularly, and this is pretty much the only polish remover that I will use now. I know a lot of Nail Bloggers prefer to use pure acetone, but because my nails are prone to brittleness and flakiness, I think it would be too drying. This polish remover removes quickly and effectively, however, and contains vitamin B5 to keep nails strong. It also doesn't smell as bad as normal Nail Polish Remover!
8. Seche Vite
I can't say enough good things about the Holy Grail of Topcoats. It dries in record time, you'll have touch dry nails in literally seconds. Once you go Seche, you never go back. It dries like glass and protects your manicure for days - it's also only £6 from eBay. An absolute must-have for anyone serious about nails!
9. Nail Art Pens
Most find these much easier to use when creating nail art, as opposed to a multitude of tiny brushes, as you can control the flow of the lacquer. Although I do use brushes regularly, nothing compares to the ease of a nail art pen. I get my basic colours (Gold, Silver, Black and White) from Claire's Accessories, and my colours and glitters from eBay. They are great for experimenting with Nail Art, and are really cheap!
10. Nails Inc London Polishes
Another of my favourite brands, that I believe are now available at Sephora in America. They're a bit pricier than a drugstor brand, but the quality is great and the colour selection is enormous! They often do freebies with magazines, lucky dip offers on their website, and have some amazing party glitters in their collections. Definitely check them out!
SO there we go, my Top Ten Must-Have Nail products. Sorry for taking a day off from the challenge, I was far too hungover to function!! Would you add anything to the list? Is there anything you swear by, or do you love to try something new every time?
