The Cadbury's Manicure - As far as blogging recognition goes, this one really got the ball rolling, catching the attention of Celebrity Nail Artist Sophie Robson and Cadburys themselves. As a result of one of my readers tweeting this to them, I went down to London for a day to create some nail art tutorials for their Caramel Bunny Facebook Page! They're download-able step-by-step guides and it was a great experience!

I remember first thinking about this design, and it took me ages to figure out how to get it right, but I was so excited to try it - I think that's when you know it's going to turn out well! I would love to try this again now that I'm more skilled, as I think it could be executed better.

I think the Mario Manicure has the most comments of any of of my posts, and the inspiration came from you guys!! It was featured on Dorkly.com aswell as Sophy Robson's So So Fly blog. I did these nails on the day of the Royal Wedding, because it was way more exciting than my Kate and Wills inspired manicure idea!

This was the first manicure I did with my Konad M29 plate that I ordered as part of a prize for the first Nail Art Contest I won over at That's So Fresh - I was so stoked to have pineapples on my nails - who wouldn't be?! I really love tropical manicres, they're so fun, and I adore how this came out. I love the clash in colours of the accent nail, and the subtle spnging! I was also honoured to have this design recreated by Deniz from Emerald Sparkled, one of my favourite Nail Art Blogs.

This was one of the manicures that I re-created for the Cadbury's tutorials, and it all came about from just messing about with a new white nail art pen. I turned the dotty doodles into flower blossoms, and loved the result. It's simply, feminine and kitsch - it works in any colour combination and is so easy for anybody to do at home.

Cherry Bombs! I love the vintage look of this manicure, and a lot of colours were used to get the shading just right on every single twin cherry - it took a while but I think it came out really nicely. I used heart shaped red rhinestones on the accent nail to make the cherry shape, and it looked really cute! The base is a Del Sol polish, so it changes colour to deep purple in the sunlight! Awesome!

I did a full tutorial for this tiger manicure, and it really made me appreciate just how long they can take. I'm talking hours - to do all the steps, photography, photgraphing technque when you only have 2 hands etc...but it was worth it, I got such a great response to this. It won me a public poll for best entry into Swaafie's Nail Art Contest. It also won me a years supply of Nails Inc polishes when I entered it into In Style Magazine's Nail Art Competition. Definitely one of my favourites, and also easy for you to create at home from my tutorial!

This was inspired by the Prada Banana Manicure/Print, as I wanted to pay an hommage to it, but in my own way. I loved the contrast of the yellow and the blue, and thought this was really fun :D I have seen it replicated a few times, and am always happy to see it :)

If I'm inspired by a manicure I see on the web, or another blog, I always try to put my own spin on it, because I think that is what creativity is all about - making something that's YOURS. I'd seen full Pacman manicures floating about, and some different combinations of the same elements, but thought a french tip of a "ghost chase" would look really cool, and I think it turned out cool, nerdy AND chic, which is rarely achievable :P

The Cath Kidston inspired manicure is my most recent on this list, as I am really proud of how neat it came out, despite being one of the fiddliest and tiniest designs I've ever done. The print I used for inspiration had to be scaled down A LOT to fit on the nail, but I think it comes across well. Cath Kidston herself also LOVES it (in her own words, we tweet....you know how it is :P) People on my Tumblr (where I do a photo-dump occasionally - I know, I'm one of THOSE Tumblr bloggers...) also went mad for this manicure, and it has nearly 400 notes. :D
So there we are, just some of the exciting and interesting things that have come out of these designs, and why they are my faves :D Which is your favourite? DO you have a favourite that didn't make my list?!
